SE Magazines publishes three monthly magazines in South East London reaching 15,000 homes and businesses. The titles are SE21, SE22 & SE23. So if local, targeted advertising is what you are after, look no further. You can choose one postcode or cover all three, it is up to you!
Like all South East London residents I appreciate the wonderful vibrancy of our community and set up SE22 magazine in 2005 to publicise both our independent local businesses and our huge variety of community groups and events to residents. The response was fantastic, which I think is why we are still going strong. From a first magazine of just 28, mainly black and white pages, SE22 has now grown to over 52 pages an issue, all in full colour. It’s not just me who likes to support local businesses – we all do! The magazine also publicises details of local community groups, charity, school and church events to residents at no cost – our What’s On pages are keenly read each month.
SE22 was soon joined by SE21 and SE23 – both in the same winning formula.
Our magazines are a handy A5 size and are DELIVERED FREE directly into homes. Our mags hit residents’ doormats with a small amount left in the local library and key shops and bars. This has a massive impact on the responses our advertisers get – we have a very loyal readership that looks forward to our magazines arriving each month. Unlike any other magazine or paper, ours have an INDEX so residents can find services easily and quickly.
Whilst most people love reading newspapers, but the habit is to throw them out the next day. In contrast, people KEEP our magazines for a long time because they find them so useful.
But best of all they are COST EFFECTIVE! Our prices start from just £65 plus VAT. And in addition to these great prices, you get a great service – please just get in touch to find out more!
As well as our glossy A5 magazines, you can now view the latest issue of each magazine as a flipzines on the right. Just click on the magazine you are interested in and you can read away!
Angela Burgess is originally from Stockport, but moved to South-East London in her early twenties. After brief stints in Denmark Hill, Peckham and Nunhead, Angela finally settled in East Dulwich in 2000. Realising there was a gap in the market for a magazine dedicated entirely to promoting the local community, Angela launched SE22 magazine back in March 2005. Following its success, it was not long before she went on to introduce SE21 and SE23 magazines; covering Dulwich Village, West Dulwich, Forest Hill and Honor Oak. In the same year, Property In and William Bailey Solicitors approached Angela to co-organise the Dulwich Charity Lunch, which has gone on to raise thousands of pounds for Link Age Southwark formerly Dulwich Helpline.
Since then, Angela has worked with many local businesses to promote events in the area and was responsible for the the creation of the Dulwich Festival Fair and ran it for 11 years. In addition to her charity and volunteer endeavors, Angela co-founded Cooking with Scissors with Chris Essex-Hill from Puremacintosh – a smart networking event for local business owners to meet and make new contacts. Her boundless energy and passion for business inspired her to launch Around Dulwich, the glossy online supplement to SE Magazines.
